Christmas is a time when many of us open our homes to family and friends and want to create a welcoming festive ambiance.

Simply Bows and Chair Covers have a few simple ideas that can create a huge impact on your home....

Transforming traditional dining chairs by adding chair covers, accessorised by rich velvet ties or chair veils created in sumptuous winter colour's or the gold, green or red colour's that are traditional to Christmas. Match these with a luxury table runner to fit down the centre of your Christmas dining table brings a feeling of opulence.

Gold or Silver Charger plates used instead of place mats are the perfect place to sit your dining plates.

Table Cloths in Traditional Christmas Colours are great but why not opt for Silver to emphasise a winter wonderland theme and accessorise with diamante sprinkles and crystal napkin holders to create a winter wonderland effect. Another option to create a similar effect is by covering your normal white tablecloth with an organza/ transparent fabric or cloth that has sequined detail on it as per the below.

Napkins can be folded in so many different ways but flat folded on charger plates can be very effective when placing a piece of berried holly on top. Have the napkins match the colour's of the sash and table runner  thus creating a theme throughout your Christmas table.  In addition you could purchase stunning tartan ribbon in golds, greens and reds and roll the napkins then tie each one individually with the ribbon and place on the charger plates.

Tartan is the perfect touch to Christmas decor. Fabric can be picked up at most haberdashery stores and can be used for table cloths, drapes and cushion covers to cover your existing cushions.

Use holly from your garden to add special touches to your Christmas decor.
Holly looks divine around candelabras or plain church candles. Or why not cut a larger branch and mix with winter berries to form a garland for your fireplace.

Pine cones and berries from the garden  can be added to plain glass vases and bowls, add some battery powered twinkly lights – these are great to use as table centres.

Both holly, berries and pine cones can also be arranged in a hurricane vase as the base for candle decorations for a cheap and effective table centres. Poinsettia plants instantly scream Christmas and can be picked up in most supermarkets for reasonable prices.

You will be surprised to discover that Christmas tree baubles and decorations can be used to decorate your table and place settings and create an opulent look.

Just a little burst of inspiration from the Simply Bows and Chair Covers team... now time to get cracking..!
