What activities do you do when accessing the Internet? Based on studies Yahoo! Net Index 2011, the activities that most people do Indonesia when accessing the Internet are surfing on social networking. "The numbers increased dramatically compared to two years ago," said Deputy Managing Director Suresh Subramanian TNS Indonesia in Jakarta, Tuesday. A total of 89 percent of respondents stated that online activity is most often done accessing social networking services, like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Not surprisingly, Indonesia was ranked second as Facebook users in the world and in the third position to service microblogging site Twitter. Whereas in a similar survey conducted in 2009 and 2010 shows, interest in Internet users to a new social networking 58-77 percent. The high users of social media in Indonesia, according to Suresh, because the easier the access the Internet, either through personal computers or mobile phones. But behind the ease of Internet access, said Suresh, there are cultural factors that led to a wave of social networking users in Indonesia directly membeludak.
